Friday morning we headed toward St. Louis, Missouri. About 6 hours into the trip we got a warning call about tornadoes in the St. Louis area so we decided to stop short in Paducah, Kentucky...Sounds a little scary, but the town was actually amazing! We went downtown to the riverside and historic disctricts. Murals were painted along the seawall that was actually near an old fort used during the Civil War. We ate at a restaurant called Toucan's and walked/drove around the art district. The artists there are given a house for free by the City of Paducah if they commit to restoring the home and opening a gallery on the first floor. The rest of the home is theirs-most of the homes were 3 floors! Seems like a good deal to me! That night Sasha and her daddy surfed the web together!
